  • TEDxYouth in Columbus, Novemeber 10, 2011

Shibnum Blewett and I will be attending TEDxYouth in Columbus on November 10, 2011 which will be hosted at COSI. Shibnum will be reporting the going-ons of the day and I will be acting as a “professional mentor” running an afternoon “Big Ideas Incubator” workshop session with High School Students in the audience along with other mentors. We’re so excited!

If you are there, we’d appreciate a warm hello :-)

  • Sarah at Pecha Kucha

Little and LOUDer Sarah Grosh speaking at Pecha Kucha Columbus about the state of public schools in Columbus, OH

  • Little and LOUD is going to Summer Camp!

We would like to once again and officially welcome Sarah Grosh for joining the Little and LOUD team!  Sarah is an Art Educator and is going to be working on setting up Little and LOUD in the United States.  Please read more information about her, on our About page under the section, “The Team”.

Rhoda and Sarah will be doing a workshop for 4th and 5th graders with a wonderful organization in Columbus Ohio called Thurber House, at their Summer Writing Camp – which starts tomorrow! We are so grateful and excited to be to be teaming up with Thurber House, which has both adult and youth literacy programs for writers and readers.  They’re doing great things here in Columbus which we think should be a model worldwide.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated on the outcomes!

  • Rhoda at Pecha Kucha

Here’s a video from last night’s Pecha Kucha in Columbus where I was a presenter.  Apologies for the bad image quality!

Here are the actual slides for you to follow along to:

The turnout was great despite the cold and snow outside. The best part of the entire evening for me was after the talks when people shared about their passions and let me know that they enjoyed and were inspired by the talk, especially a teary eyed woman who said she was touched and hopes that everyone thinks about the more important things in life.

Thank you so much everyone for coming out and/or watching the video/slides!  Your continued support and interest in what we are doing is greatly appreciated :-)
